Please read the first post behind this link. )

One of the good things about the Internet is that people don't feel as alone as I did when I was a little girl. Parents can find other parents to talk to and even meet other adults who have the same disabilities their child has. When there are safe places for kids to get online, kids can also meet people who can talk to them and answer questions. I would like for this blog to be a safe place where kids and teens can ask questions and talk about disabilities. When you post your comments, they will be screened before they show up on the blog. This is how I keep spammers and bullies from posting. (Yes, there are bullies online, too.) If you post without a LiveJournal account, please sign your first name so that we know what to call you when we write back. And please be nice to each other when replying!

I've written a lot in this entry. I hope it has helped you to know a little about my life. Please come back tomorrow, and we'll talk some more.
